There's less than 5 days to go until the Bloodline LAN starts on the 3rd of December and it's now even easier for you to attend with Monitors and complete PC systems for rent. As a reminder the LAN features all these cool things:

  • £2,000 BYOC competition for Call of Duty 5v5

  XMP League Edition   -   L0cky   -  09th Oct 2004 02:40
Version 2.1 rc3 of the competition mod for XMP...

XMPLE is the competition/admin/spectator/public mod that we use on the Jolt public and league servers. 2.1 rc3 is the first public release; 2.1 final will probably be released next week once I'm confident there are no major issues.

UK users can download XMPLE from jolt's lightning-fast, no-queues download system here!

This version should be on our server tomorrow (you can download directly from the server if you wish).

  sHcL are Season 2 Champions!   -   L0cky   -  22nd Sep 2004 23:00
Season 2 draws to a close and the winners have been decided...

sHcL, winners of JXL Season 1 have had a succesful run of season 2, winning every match until their second last vs the number 2 clan, pot in which they tied. The odds were in sHcL's favour when overCruel stepped up for their final match of the season. oC were the number 3 clan but had two previous losses against pet and pot. oC picked Miasma and Garden while sHcL chose NaKoja and Alcazar.

Miasma started out with a run for energy with oC laying gas in the tunnel to defend the lower generator while their Rangers also secured the top. sHcL respawned together and focused on the mountain generator, managing to fend off oC and get some energy. sHcL's delayed sta.....

  HoC: Division 2 Champs   -   L0cky   -  13th Sep 2004 10:22
High on Coffee beat DarkSide and become Season 2's Division 2 Champions!

Before the match DS were the unbeaten Div 2 leaders with only HoC on even ground after FFc's draw with DS pulled them behind. A win from either team was vital to pull them away from the pack into a leading position. HoC chose Alcazar and Garden while DS chose Lowlands and NaKoja.

Alcazar starts with HoC ganging up on the sky platform to secure the generator, with Gna-lo dropping from the platform in a Raptor to get the low generators. PRG manages to stop an early attack outside DS's upper entrance with some rocket smackdown but isn't enough to threaten HoC's defence over the ridge. Gna-lo returns as a gunner def to backup Thom!'s strong tech layout.

PRG did a pretty good job of defending DS's node room considering th.....

  Results: sHcL vs .pot., =FFc...   -   L0cky   -  13th Sep 2004 10:21
sHcL miss out on early league win vs #2 .pot. while =FFc= secure themselves a chance for Division 1...

The undefeated sHcL had a chance to secure the division 1 leadership from pot's grasp. Both clans picked NaKoja and Alcazar in the same order, meaning both would be played twice in a row.

sHcL start the first NaKoja with quick steals which prove futile without energy, even on NaKoja. Asuka stays back to lay forcewalls at the base and using the Raptor as gunfire. sl0w backs him up as gunner, laying mines which proves an effective defense as pot's Stealth found out. Digs prefers a turret defence, which is enough to shred Kaio as he follows .pot.Ninja with an artifact.

sHcL choose a four man defense while they own the generators, sending three (Kaio, Gex and Rage) Rangers as cappers. pot leave a two man.....

Previews of the anticipated UT2k4 conversion unveiled...

XMP-ValleyOfApes, one of many new maps planned for the release. I doubt that many within the XMP community have missed it but Free Monkey Interactive have released screenshots and a trailer for their Legend approved adaption of XMP to Unreal Tournament 2004, UTXMP.

The trailer comes in both Windows Media format, and a smaller DivX flavour. The posted screenshots show off a variety of maps, including Erik 'Styx' Cederman's own update of CBP-Wonderwoods.

Word on the grapevine is that the original maps will not be forgotton......

  JXL Week 9 Results   -   L0cky   -  18th Aug 2004 23:41
2 forfeits don't dampen ctp's success...

Alpha failed to turn up for yet another match and have subsequently been removed from the league. Please check the fixtures to see the weeks that have changed if you are in div 2. DS take the forfeit win for the match.

DW also failed to field a full team, and as it has happened in the past they are on their last warning. FFc played against four players but would have picked up the 12-0 win by forfeit anyway.

OSN and ctp still managed to have an exciting match, the details of which can be viewed below. ctp won in the end but the maps were closer than the points let on.

  [tH] vs [pet]   -   L0cky   -  12th Aug 2004
pet win rescheduled match...

Both clans played very well with only Rampant being a relatively quick map in tH's favour. Garden almost went full time with the usual strong tech defence on each side.

The highlight of the match was Alcazar with [pet]control holding an artifact for over ten minutes while tH held the generators. tH owned all four artifacts and came 200 away from an energy win, which would have been the first 5-0 map win in JXL. At one point the last artifact was dropped and after a brief pause tH decided not to return it. Unfortunatly for them pet managed to regain a generator in the last few minutes, capturing for a 9-7 win......
